White or Gold– represents Joy and Triumph, Used during Paschal Triduum, Easter, and Christmas as well for Holy Days and Feast Days.

Red– represents Royalty, Fire and Martyrdom. Used on special Feast Days and Holy days.

Green– A sign of life and growth. Represents Ordinary time.

Black– for Funerals

I wan tot thank  all the parishioners for participating in my 35th anniversary as a priest.  The planning committee worked very hard in setting up tables, chairs and everything that was needed for the meal after the Mass.  My family that was able to come & had a very good time and I was very Happy to see so many of my St. Matthew family who came to celebrate with me.

NEWS UPDATES!

Religious Education News: St Matthew Catechism office is accepting registrations for the 2011-2012 School year.  We offer Kindergarten thru 5th grade Continuing Educaation A student in any grade, who has not received their First Communion, can also be enrolled.  Confirmation Classes begin when your student enters 8yh grade.  The catechism office is temporarily located in the classroom building adjacent to the church parking lot.  Phone messages can be left for Jane at (915) 584-3461.
