Text Box: Veronica and her husband, John, are native El Pasoans. They married in 1988 at St. Patrick Cathedral with Monsignor David Fierro officiating. Veronica and John have four children- Rebecca, John, Kathyrn and Caroline. Veronica is employed at St. Mark's School where she is a permanent substitute teacher for grades Pre-K to Eighth. She also has been an active volunteer for her children at school. One special experience was to accompany the students on a trip to Montreal and Quebec. She and her daughter also went to London, Rome and the Vatican. For the past ten years Veronica's ministry at St. Matthew has been Altar Service.

Text Box: Children who are seven years old and have made their First Communion may train with Veronica to become Altar Servers. They learn how to assist the priest at Mass as well as so many important things about the Faith. She is especially proud of the fact that so many of the servers continue up into their high school years. Veronica also thanks the parents of these children for their help and support in this most important ministry.

Text Box: Life Teen International has invited our very own Gabriel Rivera to lead worship at the 2012 European Catholic Youth Conference in Schoenstatt, Germany in August. This conference is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Military Services to help serve the needs of teens in military families overseas. What a wonderful opportunity for Gabriel and his band! Gabriel is currently the Director of Youth Ministry for St. Michael's Catholic Community at Fort Bliss. Life Teen international has offered to defray the expenses for Gabriel, but the rest of the band must fund-raise the money to pay for the trip. Since the airfare alone for each person is $1,400.00 they have a goal to reach of $10,000.00. Each band member is working hard to accumulate the funds, but your help would be very appreciated.
