Text Box: It is with great pleasure that we introduce to you the new Principal at St. Matthew, Mrs. Olga C. Macias. Mrs. Macias has been an educator for the past 25 years in both public and private schools. She comes to us from Loretto Academy where she taught High School Geography and Speech, and Middle School Math and Health. Prior to that she was an administrator at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Albuquerque. She received her Bachelor’ Degree in Education from University of Texas El Paso in 1986 and her Master’s in Curriculum and InstrucText Box: tional Leadership from the College of Santa Fe in 2008. Mrs. Macias’s greatest joy is being around her students and her family. She stayed home for twelve years to raise her six children, ranging in ages from sixteen to twenty six. She also enjoys reading, traveling and gardening in her spare time. She is now living in the upper valley and is a member of St. Matthew Parish. We welcome Mrs. Macias, the faculty, the parents and the students to a new year which promises to be fun and exciting for all who wish to integrate the faith in every aspect of Word and Witness!
