Text Box: Essie Ayoub was born in Mesa, Arizona and moved with her family to El Paso when she was fourteen years old. She graduated from Austin High School and then Texas Western College (now UTEP). After graduation she worked at Beaumont Hospital as secretary to the General.
Essie and Joe Ayoub were married and had four children. In 1983 their son, Steven, was tragically killed in an auto accident. This was the start of Essie’s Prayer Chain Ministry.

She receives petitions from everywhere and passes them on to her three co-chairmen. They, in turn, call the members of the chain which now has more than forty members.

Essie says she doesn’t know how people get her number but more and more call all the time. In fact, two of her members have moved to other cities and have started ministries in their new homes. Here in El Paso,

Essie hosts a lunch every few Text Box: months for the members so they can receive updates and get to know each other.

She always reminds everyone that God has special blessings for those who pray for others. If you are interested is joining this wonderful ministry call Essie at 915-581-6442
