A Thanksgiving Reflection from our Pastor:

I have been counting my blessings this year and now is the perfect time to share some of them with you my beloved parishioners.

1. First of all we have a vibrant parish with a steady stream of young adults participating in parish life.

2. Secondly a Priest and Friend who is familiar with St. Matthews affirmed that our First Friday Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament serves as a testimonial to our committed parish wide prayer life.

3. Thirdly but equally importantly our local Seminary is brimming with 18-19 young men studying for the Priesthood.

4. Our prayers have been answered and our New Bishop has celebrated Mass at St. Matthews numerous times including

most recently on the Feast of St. Matthew

5. Your Tithes and Financial Offerings! I could go on about the great artistic renderings adorning the altar to celebrate the seasons of the church or the choirs and how they elevate our liturgy with song or the altar servers, Lecterns, Eucharistic Ministers, Special Ministers to the sick, Teachers volunteering for Catholic Formation and Confirmation Classes...Like I said I could go on but you get the idea!

Thank you for all you do and Have a Blessed Thanksgiving

Father David
